Van Driver (Part-Time, Lorain, Medina and Erie Counties)

The LCADA Way is currently recruiting for a part-time Van Driver position to work in our Lorain, Medina and Erie County facilities.  Join our team of dedicated professionals providing Leadership, Compassion, Awareness, Dedication & Advocacy to the communities we serve.

Summary:

The Van Driver provides transportation services to assigned clients.  This position will rotate coverage among agency facilities in Lorain, Medina and Erie Counties with the use of any agency vehicle.

Essential Functions:

Operates agency van for purposes of transporting clients according to program guidelines. Insures compliance of transportation rules and procedures. Abides by all laws and safety procedures. Maintains mileage, transportation, and maintenance records. Tracks and schedules van repairs and maintenance. Forwards gas receipts and other documents related to van expenses to the program supervisor. Provides services according to agency policies and procedures, ODMHAS standards, and grant/funding source guidelines. Develops transportation routes, schedules and strategies as they relate to the efficient and economical operations of agency's van services. Reports any emergency situations to the appropriate Department Director(s). Assists with housekeeping and minor maintenance duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

General Requirements:

Must possess valid Driver's License and be insurable through agency's automobile insurance carrier. Ability to drive passenger vans. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively work with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certification Requirements:

Technical Certificate in related field preferred.

Amount of Travel:

Daily use of agency vehicles.

Salary Range:

$9.25 / hour starting

Hours:

Part-Time; approximately 30 -32 hours per week.  Primary shift is days, Monday - Friday.  Hours and location vary.
