Associate Director of Clinical Services

Department: Men's
Location: Elyria, OH

The LCADA Way is currently recruiting for an Associate Director of Clinical Services in our Men's Department.  Join our team of dedicated professionals providing Leadership, Compassion, Awareness, Dedication & Advocacy to the communities we serve.

Summary:

The Associate Director is responsible for providing administrative and clinical oversight for the program/department under his/her direction.  This requires that all services meet ODMHAS, JCAHO, the ADAS Board of Lorain County, and other funding bodiesí requirements and expectations.  Provides essential leadership and direction to insure that programs, services, and departments are based on effective and current clinical practice and strive to be a Center of Excellence.

Essential Functions:

The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing the provision of addiction treatment services for the Men's department; responsible for administrative oversight of the Men's department and ensuring implementation of its goals and objectives, in compliance with local, state, and national requirements and regulations.

Responsible for supervising program staff and coordinating program activities.  Planning, performing and coordinating activities necessary to carry out the mission of various activities within the Men's Department.  Attending focus groups and other activities as needed.  Developing, nurturing, and maintaining appropriate relationships with relevant treatment, recovery, social/human services, educational, funding entities, and employment organizations in the community.  The Associate Director will also provide clinical services, including, but not limited to: screening, assessment, treatment planning, education, referral and documentation.  Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position assists in the management of clinical positions for the Men's department and assists with performance management and hiring of employees in these positions.

General Requirements:

Must adhere to the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board's Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics, demonstrate an understanding of addiction as an illness, and have 3 - 5 years of treatment or recovery experience. Experience in mentoring, leadership, administration and/or supervision, written and oral communication, business and personnel management, and computer proficiency required.  Comprehensive knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse, substance abuse treatment, and recovery and social/human services organizations required.  Cultural competency skills required.  Three years of supervisory experience in a clinical, social work or healthcare setting preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills required.  Must have the ability to effectively work with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population. 

Educational Requirements:

Bachelorís degree required, Masterís degree preferred.  

Certification Requirements:

LCDC-III required; LICDC, LPCC, LISW or higher credential preferred.

Amount of Travel: Minimal, mostly confined to local travel.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.  Some evenings required.

Salary Range: Salary commensurate with licensure and experience.
