Residential Aide

We are currently recruiting for Residential Aides to work at our Women's Residential Facility in Lorain.

Summary:

The Residential Aide is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the daily activities of all residential clients and for facilitating program schedules and house processes. The Residential Aide is also responsible to provide childcare coverage for the Children’s Program as needed.

Essential Functions:

Supervises and assesses residents’ activities and performance during shift. Reports any emergency situations to the Residential Coordinator. Maintains daily records of activities, progress notes, and records problems in behavior, Maintains log of client activities. Reports on general condition with the residential facility on hourly basis. Facilitates program schedules and all house processes during shift. Ensures clients’ compliance with self-administered medication protocols. Other duties as assigned.

General Requirements:

Must adhere to the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board’s Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics, demonstrate an understanding of addiction as an illness. Three years experience with treatment or recovery experience preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certification Requirements:

Residential Aide – CDCA eligible required and must obtain CDCA within 90 days of employment. THE LCADA WAY PAYS FOR CDCA TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION FEE.

Amount of Travel: Minimal, mostly confined to local travel.

Hours: Part-Time up to 35 hours per week. Available shifts include: Friday 8a-8p, Saturday 7a-7p, Sunday 4p-12a

Salary Range: $13 - $16.50 per hour (includes shift differential for weekends, 2nd and 3rd shifts)
